Village Library Project The VLP, a heart centred Australian charity created a rural library in Kenya. Local Kenyan children

The VLP was started by a Kenyan born, Australian based family who wanted to give back to their local community in Kenya. They want to inspire a love of learning in local school children. Up to 200 primary school students visit the library each month, to read books (which they have no access to otherwise), learn basic computer skills on the library's laptops, read newspapers, and expand their view

of the world. The library also works with two primary schools within walking distance, providing computer training and access to teachers and library excursions to classes.
