💫 PMDoS 2026 Highlights 💫

PMI Western Australia is proud to reflect on the 2026 Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS).
This annual initiative brings together skilled project management professionals and Not‑for‑Profit organisations for a day dedicated to meaningful collaboration, strategic problem‑solving, and community impact.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our event sponsors (Crystal Consulting and Cliftons Perth), whose support and partnership were instrumental in delivering an impactful PMDoS.

We also acknowledge and thank our PMI WA Board Members for their attendance at this year’s event. Your commitment to strengthening the Western Australian Project Management community is valued.

A special thank‑you goes out to our volunteers who generously contributed their time, expertise, and energy. Your dedication is at the heart of PMDoS, and your willingness to give back continues to make a tangible difference. We also hope our consultants found the experience rewarding and fulfilling as they shared their knowledge in service of the community.

We trust that the participating Not‑for‑Profit organisations gained valuable insights and practical outcomes to support their missions.

PMDoS 2026 stands as a testament to what can be achieved when professionals and purpose‑driven organisations come together.

Thank you to everyone involved for making this year’s event a success. 💯

PMDoS - Calling all consultants for this great initiative. Its a great opportunity to give back to the community.
Register on the link below. Alternatively, reach out to the team at [email protected].

PMI Western Australia Chapter, in collaboration with Project Management for Change, is proud to announce it will be hosting its annual Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS) on Friday the 13th of March of 2026.

What is PMDoS?
PMDoS is a one-day event where not-for-profit organisations are teamed up with PMI WA Chapter members and consultants who have a vested interest in giving back to the WA community.

Together these teams identify organisational priorities and difficulties, this could range from marketing, volunteering, outreach programs, strategic planning to operational management. Consultants then create realistic actionable plans which can be implemented by the not-for-profit organisations to increase the positive level of impact they have on their surrounding communities.

What does Consulting for PMDoS actually look like?
If selected as one of our consultants, you will be allocated a not-for-profit that will benefit from your respective skillset. Prior to the event day you will be provided a factsheet and attend a virtual meeting with the organisation who will outline key issues they wish to work on.

On the day you will be paired up with up to two other consultants and two representatives from the not-for-profit you are assisting. As a team you will work together to solve problems, develop goals and provide expertise. The event will conclude with your team presenting their work to the other organisations and consultants present.

Why Volunteer?
Volunteers make PMDoS possible, as a consultant you will use your respective knowledge area to provide tangible benefit to a local Western Australian not-for-profit.

How do I Apply?
Additional information and consultant applications can be found through the following link (application link is at the bottom of the page)
Please note that a confirmation email is sent to your email address for verification purposes, once the application has been submitted.

A big thank you to everyone who joined the PMI WA Chapter for our recent event, “How NASA Builds High-Performing Teams."

Together, we explored how NASA’s unique 4-D system transforms team dynamics by focusing on social context, psychological safety, and human performance — lessons that reach far beyond space missions and into every project environment. 🌌

Special thanks to our incredible speaker Paul Hawkins🚀 for sharing how the behaviours and principles used to prepare astronaut teams for isolation, confinement, and extreme conditions can also help us lead with empathy, collaboration, and trust here on Earth. 🌍

Thank you to our members, guests, and volunteers for making this event such a success — your engagement and curiosity continue to drive our professional community forward.
