Me after disappearing for a week because of a pain flare 🫠

“Sorry I went MIA… I was simply ✨fighting for my life✨” 😅

Phone on Do Not Disturb
Texts left on read
Plans cancelled
Me… horizontal with a heat pack like it’s my full-time job 🔥

Is this familiar or just me? 👀

Endo flares really said “no thoughts, just survival” 💀

Let’s talk about it 👇
💛 What do your pain flares look like?
💛 Do you ghost the world or try to push through?
💛 What actually helps you get through it?

Some gentle go-to’s that can help during flares:

✨ Heat packs or warm baths (elite comfort)
✨ Slow stretches or very gentle movement
✨ Magnesium, peppermint tea, anti-inflammatory snacks
✨ Deep breathing when your body is in full panic mode
✨ Acupuncture, massage or other CAM supports
✨ Cancelling plans and not feeling guilty about it 🙃

Honestly, sometimes the biggest win is just getting through the day 💛

Drop your flare survival tips below 👇 let’s help each other out 🫶

Honestly… endometriosis really said “I’ll take it from here” and created its own weekly schedule for my body 🙃

Had plans? Cute.
Energy? Gone.
Ovulating? Menstruating? Random Tuesday? Doesn’t matter, she’s doing her own thing 💅

Endo really be out here like:
✨ “You thought you were in control?” ✨

But on a real note, it’s wild how different everyone’s triggers can be. What sends one person into a flare might not even touch someone else.

Let’s chat 👇
💛 What are your biggest flare triggers?
💛 Do you notice patterns with stress, food, exercise, hormones, or sleep?
💛 Have you found anything that helps reduce your flares?
💛 Or does your endo just… do whatever it wants regardless? 😅

You’re definitely not alone in this 💛 let’s share and learn from each other.

🩺 Healthcare professionals — this one is for you.

Endometriosis affects around 1 in 7 women+, yet many patients still experience years of diagnostic delay before receiving appropriate care.

Today, Endometriosis Western Australia had the privilege of attending Parliament House 💜, hosted by our Patron, Rowe MLA — Member for Belmont and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Women.

It was a powerful opportunity to bring the voices of our community directly into the rooms where decisions are made. Every conversation today represented the stories, experiences and challenges of people across Western Australia living with endometriosis.

We were especially grateful to spend time with Meredith Hammat — Western Australia’s Minister for Health and Minister for Mental Health — to talk about the urgent need for continued awareness, improved care pathways and stronger support for those living with endometriosis.

A sincere thank you to Catherine Healy, who courageously shared her lived experience and reminded everyone present why these conversations matter. Standing alongside her husband, Terry Healy MLA, Member for Southern River, her voice brought humanity and truth to a condition that too many people suffer with in silence.

Advocacy like this matters. This is us fighting for you 💜
Your stories.
Your experiences.
Your future.

Every step into spaces like Parliament House is about making sure the voices of the endometriosis community are heard, understood and taken seriously.

We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and the time taken by our leaders to listen and engage with the work of Endometriosis Western Australia 🤝

The conversations have started and we can’t wait to see what comes next as we continue pushing for better outcomes for people living with endometriosis across Western Australia. 💜✨
