At the Club's AGM last Sunday, we had the pleasure of acknowledging the Floreat SLSC National Patrol Service Awards. We are incredibly lucky to have a long list of dedicated volunteers striving to keep our beaches safe every year during our patrol season. Special thanks to outgoing Director of Lifesaving, John King, for his efforts and countless hours over a 10-year period contributing to the success of the Club in this role.

On Saturday 20 June, members of the Floreat SLSC attended the Awards night at Crown Perth to acknowledge the achievements of clubs and surf lifesavers across the State.

We were incredibly proud to have two members nominated as finalists:

🏅John King - Nominated for Official of the Year
🏅Michael Brooks - Nominated for Support Operations Volunteer of the Year

Whilst not taking home the award, we acknowledge your dedication, commitment and everything you do for our Club - we see your tireless work👏!

Our congratulations go to Surf Life Saving Club for being named 2026 Club of the Year, and to all the other award winners and finalists celebrated on the evening. Best of luck to those attending the Surf Life Saving Australia awards of Excellence later this year. 🤞
