Sundays Sweep Snippet.

Barry did Safari as Sweeper between 1973 and 2019. EDIT was also in Sweep in 2020, showing us newbies how it is done. Is this a record for most events?

He started in a green Fj40 landcruiser then had a white/brown Landcruiser until he got the blue FJ40 landcruiser in 1983.

It’s not only the race cars that deserve a place in our local rally history.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to see the blue Sweep out again 💭

The 60th Safari Rally known this year as the 2026 DCL Safari in Grimwade. Entries officially open.

This year mark the 60th running of the Light Car Club of WA Safari Rally

Like all events, to make them success we need those magical volunteers/official to make the event successful. People we need -

**Control officials, a lot easier these days with RallySafe

**Service park helpers coordinators

**Road closures

**Friday set-up team (help with signage, arrows & numbers )

**End of event clean up team (pick signs and bunting up and take back to trailer)
