South Sudanese Community Association at the Ministerial Community Forum
Over the weekend, the South Sudanese Community Association was honoured to be invited by the Office of Multicultural Interests to present at the Ministerial Community Forum, alongside the Indian Society of Western Australia. These forums are a vital platform for culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities to:
✅ Hear directly from WA Government agencies
✅ Share real stories and experiences
✅ Ask questions, give feedback, and connect with others passionate about building vibrant, inclusive communities
We proudly showcased the contributions of South Sudanese Australians in key sectors such as sport, health, mining, education, music, and politics. We also highlighted the importance of mentorship, especially through our sportsmen and sportswomen who serve as role models for our youth.
This event was a significant opportunity to present our core objectives to the Government of Western Australia, focusing on:
· Family & Children – Supporting family wellbeing, child safety, and positive programs

· Youth – Providing activities, advocacy, and educational support
· Employment – Career advice, job resources, and skill development
