At the recent Annual General Meeting of the Myanmar Business Council of Australia, we took a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate the journey we’ve all shared. It was a time to recognise the dedication, passion, and tireless effort that have brought us to where we are today.
Our sincerest gratitude goes to our founding executives: Annika-Bells Htat Nandar Htun, Aung Ko Ko, Waihin Tun and Kay Khine Soe. With your unwavering support, you have not only established this organisation but have nurtured a thriving community. Your leadership has had a profound and lasting impact, both on the professional landscape and within the business sector. For this, we are deeply thankful.
It is with great excitement that we also welcome our new youth board members: Wunna Kyaw, Vincent Phone Mya, Ariel Poe, and Michelle Poe. Your fresh ideas, boundless energy, and passion are exactly what we need to inspire the next chapter of our journey. We look forward to the positive change you will bring to the communities we serve.
As we turn the page, we bid a fond farewell to three remarkable executives: Mr. Michael D'Souza, Ms. May Oo, and Ms. Saung Yu Lwin who are stepping down from their executive roles. Your invaluable contributions have shaped the MBC, and even though you’re stepping away from the leadership team, we know your support will continue. You’ll always remain an integral part of the MBC family.
We would also like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to our partners in the ASEAN Business Alliance, WASBC, the WA Australia Thai Business Council, the Australia Philippines Business Council, the Australia-Laos Business Advisory, and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce Western Australia. Your support and collaboration has been instrumental in strengthening our collective mission, and we look forward to deepening these relationships in the years ahead.
