Men’s Health Week might end today, but looking after ourselves shouldn’t.

Our Wellbeing and Health Hub has loads of Men's Health resources available all year round - https://mensshedswa.org.au/wellbeing-health-hub

Thanks to all the Sheds and members helping support healthier, happier communities across WA.

What you do makes a real difference. Keep looking after yourselves and each other, Shed mates.

Men's Health Week isn't just about physical health.

Often, we’ll ask a mate how they’re going, but we're not always as good at asking ourselves the same question.

Taking a moment to reflect on how you're really travelling can be an important first step.

What’s one small thing you can do for yourself this week?

• Get outside for some fresh air
• Talk to someone you trust
• Take a break and recharge
• Drop into the Shed for a cuppa and a chat

We’re honoured to be nominated for the WA Men’s Wellbeing Rural & Regional Award.

Winners will be announced tonight at a Gala Dinner hosted by Mens Talk AU.

It's wonderful to receive recognition for the work Men's Sheds of WA does to support rural and regional Sheds across the state.

Thank you to everyone involved in our Shed network. This recognition belongs to all of you. It reflects the efforts of the many volunteers, Shed leaders and members who help create welcoming, connected communities for men throughout Western Australia.

What’s one small thing you can do this week? 🤔

Getting healthier doesn’t have to mean changing everything overnight. It’s the small stuff, done regularly that really adds up.

This year, we’ve started a ‘One Small Thing’ Shed promotion. It could be something as simple as:

• Parking further away from entrance of the shop
• Drinking a bit more water
• Booking that check-up you’ve been putting off
• Dropping into your local Shed.

One small thing can make a big impact.

Today marks the start of Men’s Health Week 🩺

It's a chance to check in on how we’re really going - physically, mentally, and socially.

Too often, health gets pushed aside until it becomes a problem. This week is about changing that, starting the conversation earlier and making it normal to look after yourself.

It's a great chance to check out our Wellbeing and Health guide, which has been created to be a practical tool to help Sheds across WA strengthen the health and wellbeing of its members.

Have a read of it on the Wellbeing and Health Hub on our website - https://mensshedswa.org.au/wellbeing-health-hub/

It was great to catch up with Shedders from across the Goldfields region as the 2026 Shed Connect Tour stopped off at the C.Y. O'Connor Kalgoorlie-Boulder Men's Shed this week 🙌

With thanks to support from Lotterywest, Motobility and the Western Australian Mental Health Commission that makes the Shed Connect Tour possible.
