🐾🐕🏡COLLABORATION IN ACTION: Keeping Country Families & Pets Together!🏡🐕🐾
We are incredibly excited to share how Spay It Forward and SavourLife's Feed It Forward Campaign run through Petstock are teaming up with some amazing local legends to support the heart of our regional communities! 🌾✨
Through our community contacts, we crossed paths with the incredible Pingelly Youth Centre (PYC)—and we knew right away that our goals aligned perfectly. 🤝 Owned by the Shire of Pingelly and run by the Moorditj Youth Foundation Aboriginal Corporation (MYFAC) in a fantastic joint partnership, this centre is a vital lifeline. From their morning breakfast club for kids on school buses 🚌, to midday community outreach for 17-25 year-olds (including mental health, counselling, and WA Country Health Service) 🩺, to afternoon safe spaces with food assistance and the Parent Pathways program—they do it all! 🌟
"The Youth Centre sees a range of community members and they try to meet the needs of those people at the time, or they will refer services for the benefit of the youth—which includes families and their pets, because pets are family too. They provide consistent, regular support so families don't reach crisis level." 💛
This philosophy is exactly why this connection is so vital. Out here in the country, pets are an integral part of the family—just about everyone has a dog! 🐕 That's why we look at community well-being with the understanding that truly healthy communities can only stem from healthy people, healthy pets, and a healthy environment working in harmony. 🌏✨
While extending our rural pet food help keeps families together at the dinner table 🍽️, Spay It Forward works tirelessly beyond food support. We are on the ground in Pingelly and Brookton bringing vital veterinary care and resources directly to the community, including desexing, microchipping, vaccinations, parasite treatments, and access to essential supplies.
🤝 The Village Making This Possible: This incredible web of support is powered by a dedicated regional network: a wonderful PYC volunteer collects food prepared by Divine You Inc from Narrogin for Pingelly’s youth, while The Honourable Florist delivers non-perishables from PYC to the BOTT Brookton Giving Pantry to secure food for local families and dogs. These vital food logistics and Spay It Forward’s essential veterinary services are made possible through the medical dedication of Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals, crucial grant funding from Community Bank Pingelly and Brookton, our foundational local government partnership with the Shire of Brookton, and the valued support of the Shire of Pingelly.
By providing consistent, proactive support, we can keep pets healthy, families together, and prevent crises before they happen. Thank you to everyone involved in making the Feed It Forward campaign such a tremendous success so far this June! 🐶🎉
