At the Piobaireachd Interest Group, we will be stating on a new list of tunes later this month. If you are interested in coming down to learn how to play Piobaireachd, or are wanting to expand your existing repertoire, please get in contact!

We are hosting a workshop on the 31st of August on setting up a pipe chanter and creating a good solo sound!

Hello all,

We will be running a workshop on Sunday August 31st at the Duncraig CC from 1-5pm on how to set up a solo pipe chanter and creating a nice bagpipe sound.
This will be a great opportunity for all pipers to educate themselves on this crucial task

Hello members and friends of HPS

Firstly, we at HPS are pleased to confirm that Roddy MacLeod 'Scotland' has kindly agreed to conduct a Piobaireachd Workshop for all Piobaireachd enthusiasts on Sunday, 27th April 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Duncraig Community Centre, 47 Beddi Road, Duncraig. Cost $20 pp

This is a great opportunity not to be missed for all interested pipers.

Roddy's focus for the Masterclass is on interpreting piobaireachd and how to link the story/culture/history with the music.

Second, our AGM has been postponed until Sunday, May 18th from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Duncraig Community Centre, 47 Beddi Road, Duncraig. Cost $10 pp, $15 per family.

Had a very relaxed enjoyable Burns celebration for our first gathering of 2025 .... many thanks to Leanne and Darryn Best for hosting the gathering and to Douglas & Lewis Hutton from Hutton Real Scottish Butcher Products Joondalup for donating AND cooking the Haggis on the day ... and to Tam for his Address to the Haggis .... Awesome 😎
