What a fantastic morning unveiling the plaque, proudly donated by RAC WA, for the Haynes Street alley mural. We had music courtesy of 432 Heartz, colouring in from kids, lots of chats, beautiful art on display from artist Katie Rabjohns. We are extremely grateful to Klasey Hirst MLC and her team for sponsoring this event by supplying and cooking the free sausage sizzle.

We were honoured to unveil the plaque with Klasey Hirst MLC, Mayor Margaret Thomas - City of Kalamunda and Adam Hort MLA all in attendance.

Our hearts are full.

We will announce the winners of the colouring comp and history book comp in the next week!

Thank you Town Team Movement for inspiring us to undertake this project and to RAC WA. Stay tuned everyone for an alley party coming in the new year to erect our plaque with QR code!

Town Team Kalamunda is being celebrated for sparking the idea behind the Haynes Street mural and securing the funding to bring it to life. The mural has now been officially featured on the City of Kalamunda’s website, where visitors can explore the story, history and creative process behind the artwork. With the funding assistance from RAC WA, this team is making their town shine!

The City of Kalamunda’s support, the artistry of Katie Rabjohns, and the dedication of volunteers all helped transform the Town Team’s vision into a striking public artwork.
