🏡 $250 FOR RESIDENTIAL OWNER-OCCUPIERS

Own your home and live in it? You could be eligible to receive $250 from the Shire of East Pilbara.

If you are a residential owner-occupier living within the Shire of East Pilbara, you can apply for a one-off $250 payment per eligible property for the 2026/27 financial year.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

✅ Own a residential property within the Shire of East Pilbara
✅ Live in the property you own
✅ Provide proof of your residential address, such as a driver’s licence and bill
✅ Provide the Assessment Number from your Rates Notice

Please note: Properties owned in the name of a company are not eligible.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

📅 Eligibility period: 1 August 2026 – 30 June 2027
💰 One payment of $250 per property for the 2026/27 financial year
👥 Where there are multiple eligible owners, all owners must sign the application form and provide ID
💳 Approved payments will be made by electronic funds transfer (EFT)

📅 Census Night is tonight - Tuesday, 11 August 2026.

The Census is an important opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to make sure you communities are seen, counted and represented.

Census information helps governments, organisations and communities understand where people live and what services and support are needed, including in areas such as health, education, employment, housing, infrastructure and community services.

For First Nations communities, having accurate information about our population is particularly important. When our people are counted, it helps build a clearer picture of our communities and informs planning for the future. ❤️🖤💛

If you need help completing your Census form, there are local support sessions available in Newman. Census staff will be available at a number of locations to provide free assistance.

👉 Take the time to complete your Census and make sure you and your household are counted.
