Sailing On

The Avenue, a 1985 S&S 36’ owned by Sailing On, sailed north from Fremantle Sailing Club on Monday, headed for the Abrolhos Islands.

The combination of safety concerns and a poor weather window kiboshed the adventure after three days of sailing and the Avenue has returned to Fremantle.

Whales, sharks and dolphins were sighted. Strong winds, night time storms and sea sickness were endured. Camaraderie amongst veterans was forged. The future of offshore sailing is looking bright.

It was a good day yesterday to bring The Avenue down the river to Fremantle Sailing Club in prep for the short-offshore winter series.
