Sunday Night Dinner 🍝 – 23rd August 2026
☀️ What a glorious weekend we’ve had! Who would think we’re actually still in winter? It certainly didn’t feel like it today!
👟 Tonight we had the pleasure of welcoming the wonderful team from OnePointHealth back to our site. They were able to fit our patrons with some fantastic pre-loved, good-quality shoes. It’s always such a treat to have the team visit, and we know how much our patrons appreciate the care and kindness they show.
🧶 Thank you to Sylvia for another beautiful delivery of hand-knitted beanies and a scarf. We absolutely love receiving your handmade creations, each one made with so much love and care.
📦 A huge thank you to StoreLocal Penrith for your ongoing support and for helping us operate safely and efficiently. Your continued support means so much to us. If you’re looking for storage solutions, be sure to give them a call on 4708 3228.
🍽️ Thank you to Carolina and Matthew from Hubfoods Australia for providing a delicious pumpkin soup. It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!
🥯A big thank you to Mike from Outback Steakhouse Penrith for their very generous donation of bread rolls. These accompanied our soup and meals perfectly. 🙏
🥧 A very special thank you to Paris Diana Cakes. Our patrons always look forward to your delicious pies, sausage rolls and pastries, which are consistently a highlight of the evening. Thank you for your continued generosity and kindness. If you’re in the area, please drop in and support this wonderful local business.
👩🍳 Our incredible volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints prepared and served an amazing selection of meals tonight:
🌭 Sausages & potato bake
🍖 Roast pork & vegetables
🍚 Fried rice
🍗 Chicken schnitzel with potatoes, gravy & white sauce
🥒 Zucchini slice
🍝 Lasagna
🥣 Lentil stew
🥩 Meatloaf
And of course, no Sunday night is complete without dessert! 🍰 Our patrons enjoyed an array of delicious cakes from Paris Diana Cakes, along with jelly and custard. 😋
To every supporter, donor and volunteer — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity provides so much more than a meal. You provide kindness, dignity, friendship and a sense of community to those who need it most.
