With daylight saving now here, it was lovely to finish our meal service while there was still some daylight around. ☀️ The only unwelcome visitor that seems to return with the warmer weather is the humble fly! 🪰😂

💙 A huge thank you to our wonderful Blue Team for preparing and serving tonight’s delicious meals. Everyone who arrived hungry was able to leave with a full belly and a smile. Our volunteers also went home with a bag of pantry staples to help support the meals they provide.

💚 COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE – SUPPORTING PIF 💚

We’re incredibly grateful to share that Lions Club of Nepean has chosen Paying it Forward – Homeless Services Inc. as the recipient of their upcoming non-perishable food drive! 🥹💚

The Lions Club of Nepean is a newly established club supporting the local communities of Kingswood, Caddens and Orchard Hills, and we feel very lucky to have been selected as the organisation they’ll be supporting through this wonderful initiative.

🛒 At the end of October, the Lions Club will be holding a community food drive at Caddens Shopping Centre, collecting non-perishable food items to help us continue supporting people experiencing homelessness and hardship within our community.

Every single item donated helps us stock our shelves, prepare essentials and continue providing support through our weekly Sunday Meal Service. Whether it’s one item or a whole bag, it all makes a difference. 💚

A HUGE thank you to the Lions Club of Nepean for choosing to support PIF, and to our incredible community who continue to get behind us time and time again.

🌞 Sunday Night Dinner – 20th September 2026 🌞

💚 Another Sunday evening spent together, sharing good food, kindness and a little bit of comfort with our patrons and our wonderful volunteers.

🥵 It’s not even summer yet, but tonight certainly gave us a taste of what might be ahead! With the warm weather upon us, we were grateful to be able to hand out plenty of cool drinks to everyone. They were very much appreciated on such a hot evening. 🧊🥤

👝 Thank you to Jan for the wonderful variety of toiletries. These are always so useful when we’re putting together and topping up our patrons’ bags of goodies. Your generosity is very much appreciated. ❤️

We’ve welcomed quite a few new followers to our page recently, so firstly — welcome, and thank you for being here! 🫶🏼

Paying it Forward – Homeless Services Inc. is a volunteer-run charity with a simple vision — to support those experiencing homelessness and hardship with kindness, dignity and connection.

At the heart of PIF is our weekly Sunday Meal Service in Penrith. But for us, it has always been about more than providing a meal.

It’s a warm welcome.
It’s essential items when they’re needed most.
It’s a friendly face and a conversation.
It’s showing up, week after week, and reminding people in our community that they are seen and supported. 💚

None of this happens without the incredible community that stands behind us.

Every person who follows our page, shares a post, donates an item, volunteers their time or simply helps spread the word is supporting our vision and helping PIF continue to grow.
