What a day!!
Gathering on the banks of the Nepean River on beautiful Dharug Country, 40 Mala (men) came together to share stories, laugh, connect with culture, and dance — all in a culturally safe and supportive space for mob. The energy was nothing but positive, and that’s exactly what Mala Mudyin is all about: creating a space where Aboriginal men can just be themselves, connect, and feel supported.
A big thank you to everyone who came along today, your support means so much, and this group wouldn’t be what it is without you.
Special thanks to Link Up and ARA Indigenous Services for their valued support, Stephen Trist and his mob for sharing their cultural knowledge and experience, Ori for bringing the spirit of the didge, Dalmarri for guiding the creation of a beautiful artwork from everyone and our Aunties for cooking up a deadly feed.
Big appreciation also to our Mala Mudyin Committee for the time, care, and effort you put in each month to bring mob together — you make this all possible.
