Monday, 5th October, 2026.

Day 35 of Springtime where the wisteria is blooming beautifully and the crepe Myrtle’s have finally burst into leaf! My closest burst into leaf mid August in ‘25 but seems to have been a little sleepy this year being 4 weeks later. I guess there’s absolutely no use arguing with a 12’ tree. 🙄🤔

We had around 10 crafters this morning working on a variety of projects. It is quietly inspiring being with so many talented friends each week. There’s something about wallowing in this amount of talent and skill that should be illegal.

Pintangle - and incredible resource for anyone who owns one sewing needle and a scrap of thread. Worth investigating.

Brazilian Embroidery.

Brazilian Embroidery is a type of 3D embroidery where rayon threads are used to to create floral patterns that lift away from the surface.

A formal meeting in preparation for the AGM next month.

It was a long meeting with much decision making, planning, date claiming and the odd chuckle.

Thought: never let your potential fade away. If you have an interest then step up and be a support person, an understudy, an assistant, a helper. You are never alone in CWA because there’s always someone standing beside you.

And we still have busy hands at formal meetings - it’s the nature of the beast.

PS: and the slice was yummy.

🤔🤔🤔 to see familiar faces, to craft, to share, to ask and answer questions, to gift a little find you know is perfect for that special persons project, to sit quietly and chat, to plot, plan and look forward to being part of something big.

23 members and visitors today - we even had to add another table to the loop! Busy, plotting, planning, chatting, and getting together were the words for the day!
Springtime is really a happy, carefree time.
