Join us for a special Story Time as we celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day 2026.
Guided by this year's theme, Living Our Truth, we'll celebrate the voices, stories and strengths of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children through culture, creativity, connection and community.

This free, open, family-friendly session is a wonderful opportunity for little ones to enjoy stories, connect with culture, and learn about the importance of sharing knowledge across generations.

Some of the best learning happens before a child can even hold a pencil. Our Parent-Child Mother Goose playgroup at Cranebrook uses songs, rhymes and stories to build language, confidence and connection, one week at a time. You do not need to be a good singer. You just need to show up. Eight weeks, Mondays or Thursdays, 11am to 12pm. Places are limited, so book with our team on (02) 4729 0442 or email [email protected]

NAIDOC Week is a time of celebration, connection and recognition of the strength, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It can also be a busy week for our community, families and those working hard to make local celebrations happen.

We'd like to recognise the incredible efforts of our community workers, volunteers and everyone who has helped make NAIDOC 2026 so special. Join us for our afterparty - a relaxed afternoon to connect, unwind and celebrate together.

🎉 Celebrate NAIDOC Week these school holidays with us! 🖤💛❤️

We're excited to offer two FREE afternoons of fun for First Nations youth at Koolyangarra Aboriginal Neighbourhood Centre.

🏃 Monday 6 July: Mini Fun Fair – interactive team challenges, games, movement, culture and wellbeing activities.

🍳 Tuesday 7 July: Deadly Cookers – learn to make traditional Johnny Cakes while building practical cooking skills and celebrating Aboriginal culture.

These activities are a great opportunity to connect with other young people, learn new skills, celebrate culture and have fun in a safe and welcoming environment.
