What better way is there to spend a friday afternoon?

Thankyou to the volunteers from Vatech for joining us help remove Balloon Vine at Nurragingy Reserve. This invasive vine was threatening canopy trees across the site, and the team’s efforts will help protect and restore the local bushland.

We loved having the team out with us and appreciate everyone who got their hands dirty for a great cause!

Together with the PUIG team, we undertook on-ground planting works to help strengthen and extend Marri Badoo Reserve's riparian corridor—improving waterway health, stabilising soil, and creating valuable habitat for local biodiversity. These plantings form part of broader efforts to restore and reconnect natural systems across Greater Sydney.

Thank you to the PUIG volunteers for joining us despite the rain and for your enthusiasm and commitment to making a tangible difference on the ground.

Corporate volunteering continues to be a powerful way for organisations to contribute directly to environmental outcomes, while also building connection, purpose, and shared impact through hands-on work.

This planting forms part of the broader Healthy Cities Landcare Grants program—supported by Bupa and Landcare Australia, in partnership with City of Parramatta and Greater Sydney Landcare—working to plant thousands of native species along the riparian corridor.

Days like this are a reminder of the value of stepping away from screens and into nature—working together on practical conservation activities that directly support local ecosystems and biodiversity outcomes across Western Sydney.

Mid-may we were joined by Microsoft Cloud volunteers to tackle Balloon vine at Nurragingy Reserve.

Thank you to the Microsoft team for their energy and commitment on the day, and to everyone involved in making this collaboration possible.

🌱 Riparian restoration in action 🌱

It’s always powerful to see what happens when corporate teams step out of the office and into the landscape.

Recently, volunteers from ABN AMRO Clearing Australia joined Greater Sydney Landcare’s Environmental Services team to help restore and protect riparian habitat in Greater Sydney—planting canopy and groundcovers that will support long-term creek health, biodiversity, and shade cover.

Riparian zones are some of the most important and vulnerable ecosystems we work in. By stabilising banks, filtering runoff, and creating habitat corridors, they play a critical role in improving water quality and strengthening ecosystem resilience across our catchments.

This planting forms part of the broader Healthy Cities Landcare Grants program—supported by Bupa and Landcare Australia, in partnership with City of Parramatta and Greater Sydney Landcare—working to plant thousands of native species along The Ponds and Subiaco Creek to improve habitat, stabilise creek banks, and enhance biodiversity across the catchment.

A huge thank you to the ABN AMRO Clearing team for being involved in making the day a success.

Another fantastic day restoring habitat at Boronia Park Reserve🌿

It was great to welcome the Dolby team back out with Greater Sydney Landcare as part of their annual care week. Together, the team helped remove invasive w**ds, improve habitat for native wildlife, and support the long-term restoration of this important bushland corridor in Hunters Hill.

Corporate volunteering days like these create real environmental impact while also giving teams the opportunity to connect with nature, learn new skills, and contribute to healthier ecosystems across Greater Sydney.

A huge thank you to Dolby for continuing to support hands-on environmental action and to Hunters Hill Council for their ongoing partnership.
