As country women we are all familiar with the piles of Stock Journals strewn over the kitchen table often ear marked for the stock prices or machinery sales!
But, did you know that if you can distract your farmer fella from it long enough to look a little closer you will periodically find a column written by our very own female farmer and CWA member Moira Neagle.
Her most recent piece gives a little nod to us and the South Australian Country Women's Assoc. (SACWA) in her beautifully written column dedicated to her CWA background and her involvement in our quirky little group.
Bravo Moira! 👏

Our last engagement for May.
Family and friends gathered to celebrate the life and honour the passing of our beloved Mr Roen Lynn at the RSL Hall. Roen is possibly the last WW2 serviceman in the limestone coast having recently celebrated his 100th birthday.
We baked and prepped to provide soups, savouries and sweets for everyone who came to hear stories of a life well lived.
Thank you to the family for trusting us and to our members for rolling up your sleeves.

🌻🌻UPDATE - There is now a limited supply at The Penola Newsagent or you can go to Bellwether wines and enjoy a cuppa or book a morning tea and get a copy from there.
Thank you to all who have ordered, we have been overwhelmed but thrilled at the love and stories of Kate that have come from this little exercise x

❤️ Well what a launch!
I’m embarrassed to say the demand for the book was completely underestimated.
100 books sold out in about 10 minutes!
It just goes to show the LOVE and LEGACY that Mistress Kate left with us all.
Thank you to all who came and purchased and those who patiently ordered.
Thank you to Simon Bowen chef extraordinaire for your perfect words.
Thank you to all who bought a raffle ticket, congrats to Gaynor and Vicki on winning.
This book has been a a labour of love and not a money making exercise as we wanted it to be affordable for everyone to buy and have Kate’s love of cooking and sharing food with loved ones to live on, in a CWA caring and sharing manor as Kate would have.

❤️ Books are $30 and we will be doing a reprint this week with orders being taken by direct message to this page asap.

Congratulations also to the Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival for another fantastic festival!
