TO OUR COMMUNITY, WE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO ATTEND - kids, parents, friends, family - spread the word! There will also be a free sausage sizzle at 5.30pm.

This 90-minute interactive presentation provides participants with a confronting and realistic insight into road crash trauma. It will include graphic content, featuring real crash footage and recreations, along with the firsthand experiences of emergency services personnel.

During the session, personal stories that focus on the lasting impact of road trauma will be shared, including injuries, fatalities, and the ongoing effects of loss and disability on victims and their families.

RAP recently addressed the North Melbourne Football Club whereby Alistair Clarkson commented in more than 2 decades of coaching and attending education sessions of various forms to players and coaching staff, that he found RAP had been the most powerful and influential session he had attended in all that time.

Ideally the minimum age of attendance is 15 years, however 13-14 years is welcome to join with parental supervision.

If you do not consent for your child to participate in this session, please ensure they are not on the club premises during the allocated presentation times of 6.00pm to 7.30pm.

The weather is looking splendid for the arrival of the Celebrity Edge tomorrow, the final cruise ship market for the season. A temperature of 18 degrees, light winds and very low probability of a shower will greet the passengers who are on an 8 day return trip from Sydney to explore Australia. Penneshaw will showcase Kangaroo Island with Hog Bay Beach white sands, historic walks, scenic landscape and ocean views, Kangaroo Island Sculpture Trail , Penneshaw Maritime National Trust Museum and Penneshaw Oval looking green and inviting after recent rains, complete with a flock of corellas.
The market will set up on Penneshaw Oval - market hours from 9 am - 1 pm.
Whether a Celebrity Edge passenger, visitor to the Island or local resident, walk into Penneshaw Oval in the centre of town to browse the artisan and craft goods from jewellery, opals, leathercraft belts and souvenirs, photography, recycled keepsakes, Kangaroo Island knitwear, souvenirs and chat to their creators.
Take a seat and relax to listen to our featured musician, Martina, with her astonishing vocal talent.

The weather has been very variable this season requiring us to fall back to Penneshaw Hall for shelter from the elements. Tomorrow's weather is milder but with thunderstorms on the horizon, we will again provide a cruise ship market from the hall to welcome passengers from Zaandam to Kangaroo Island.
As the weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday is for extremely heavy rain and thunderstorms, the community market for Sunday has been cancelled for safety reasons.
We are expecting this to clear for the arrival of the Discovery Princess on Wednesday 4th March when the market is expected to be able to set up on the Oval to welcome passengers.
All are welcome to cruise ship markets - open from 9 am - 1 pm.

Sadly the sea conditions were not appropriate for the tenders to operate and the passengers on the Silver Moon were not able to experience a day on Kangaroo Island. This vessel is returning on Friday 6th February, although with another complement of passengers and the market stallholders will be on stand by for a successful weather event.
The Vasco da Gama is scheduled to arrive on Saturday 7th February which will coincide with a cricket match on Penneshaw Oval so the market will continue to operate from Penneshaw Hall. As this vessel is not scheduled to moor until 12:00, this will be an afternoon market from 12:00 p.m. - 4 p.m.

The market set up in Penneshaw Hall today as the cricket match had priority use of the Oval. Even though the weather was not as windy as forecast, the hall is a very welcoming environment to browse local production and jewellery. As the stalls were all set up, we are opening again to welcome passengers from the Silver Moon arriving tomorrow. Come in to discover our town hall, take a seat and relax and enjoy the day.
