Tourism plays a vital role in our Island’s economy, lifestyle and community. Every two years, we ask residents to share their thoughts and experiences through the Kangaroo Island TOMM Resident Survey, and 2025 is our next opportunity to hear from you.

The Tourism Optimisation Management Model (TOMM) is a community-led initiative that helps us measure how tourism impacts our Island – environmentally, economically, socially, and culturally. Your feedback helps shape decisions that ensure tourism benefits everyone and supports our long-term sustainability.

We love to hear about when things are working, but when something’s not working, TOMM helps identify the issue and guides action. Your responses help inform what needs to change, how we can fix it, and who’s best placed to deliver those changes.

If you’ve ever thought, “Someone should do something about that”, this is your chance to be that someone.

Complete the 2025 Resident Survey now and help protect what makes Kangaroo Island special.

Thank you for helping us grow tourism in a way that sustains our community, our environment, and our shared Island life.

📸 CALLING KI PHOTOGRAPHERS 📸

We're putting together a new series for the Authentic Kangaroo Island Facebook and Instagram pages, and we'd love your help to show the world what we locals already know, that our beaches are world-class! 🌊

After a few months of nature doing its thing, we want to show that our beaches are clean and safe to be at. It's a great time to capture our coastlines at their best: crisp, clear, and utterly breathtaking.

If you're out and about with your camera – or have some recent favourites that show off our shores – we’d love to see them. Real, unfiltered moments. Wide angles. Drone shots. Natural light. That unmistakable Island magic.

Selected images will be featured on our social channels (with credit, of course!), sharing the beauty of our beaches through the eyes of those who live and work here.

Drop your shots in the comments below or send us a message if you'd prefer to share privately. Thank you in advance!
