🎉 Penguin Probus Celebrates Our First Birthday! 🎂

Our monthly General Meeting was held yesterday, August 20, marking a special milestone as we celebrated our first birthday 🥳

Morning tea was enjoyed with birthday cake, sandwiches, and plenty of friendly conversation as members reflected on a successful first year together.

We were then privileged to hear from guest speaker Tommy Edwards OAM, who shared his medals and stories from an extraordinary life of service.

Tommy has given over 70 years of voluntary service to surf lifesaving and community transport. Raised in Penguin from infancy, his lifelong connection to the town has inspired decades of dedicated community involvement.

A truly inspiring presentation from a local legend. 💙

Thank you to all who have supported Penguin Probus in its first year. Here’s to many more years of friendship, fun, and shared experiences! 👏

Wednesday Outing 🌿

Penguin Probus members enjoyed a pleasant Wednesday outing, coming together for a fascinating and educational tour of the Bass Strait Maritime Museum, where they explored rich maritime history and enjoyed discovering the stories behind the exhibits.

The morning continued with a relaxed and delicious lunch at the Marion Storm Cafe, providing the perfect setting to unwind, share conversation, and enjoy each other’s company.

A truly enjoyable day filled with friendship, discovery, and great food! 😊.

☕🌿 A Wonderful Morning at Secret Serenity Café & West Park Plants Plus 🌿☕

Penguin Probus members enjoyed a delightful morning tea on Monday, 27 July, gathering at the charming Secret Serenity Café before exploring the beautiful gardens at West Park Plants Plus.

The café provided the perfect setting to relax over coffee, delicious treats and great conversation, while the garden centre inspired everyone with its colourful displays and extensive range of plants.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such an enjoyable outing. It’s always wonderful to catch up with friends, share a laugh and discover some of the lovely places our region has to offer.

We look forward to seeing you at our next Penguin Probus activity!
