Vale Bill Koetsier
Members of the Penguin History Group are saddened to hear of the passing of Bill Koetsier. Bill was a dedicated member who will be remembered fondly for his many contributions over the past 11 years.
Penguin was the town in which the Koetsiers settled when emigrating from the Netherlands in 1950 when Bill was aged 9.
Bill’s return to the town, along with his wife Jeanne, saw him become fully involved in the various activities of the group. He was always one of the first to volunteer to assist in anyway that he could.
His major contributions to the PHG were as Secretary for 5 years and also his invaluable research on the Ashwater Crescent estate. Vale Bill.
