A quiet rule change in Europe is set to transform how the fashion industry treats waste and responsibility. Starting July 2026, the European Union will officially prohibit the destruction of unsold clothes and shoes, forcing major brands to rethink overproduction.

Instead of discarding usable items, companies must now prioritize recycling, reuse, and smarter production planning. This landmark decision marks a decisive shift toward sustainability in a resource-intensive industry, proving that progress often begins by setting firm boundaries against unnecessary environmental waste.

The new regulations ensure that waste is no longer acceptable in our global future. By mandating circularity, the EU is pushing fashion toward a more ethical model where value is preserved rather than burned or buried in a landfill.

Learn how to make sourdough with Michelle using local organic spelt flour using a very simple recipe.

Whilst the bread bakes, we will cover two different ways to make yogurt at home: one with milk powder and one with whole milk.

The first 6 people to register for the workshop will receive a free yogurt culture to take home.

Feel free to bring your questions and experiences and any 'tools' you want to discuss: bread tins, yogurt makers, etc.

You'll walk away with recipes for both sourdough and yogurt, and the confidence to make these at home.
