Pearl Beach is about to get a little… porridge-obsessed.

Australia’s first Pearly Spurtle – Festival of Porridge is coming on Saturday 8 August 2026, and we’re now opening registrations for competitors.

If you’ve ever fancied yourself a porridge master (traditional or wildly creative), this is your chance to compete for the title of Pearly Spurtle Champion. The winner will also have the opportunity to represent Australia at the Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championships.
