Women with Disabilities ACT

Women with Disabilities ACT WWDACT is a systemic advocacy organisation for women, non-binary and gender diverse people in the ACT.

We work in the areas of policy, systemic advocacy and community engagement. WWDACT follows a human rights philosophy, based on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the Convention on the Elimination of (All Forms Of) Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). We work with government and non-government organisations to improve the status and lives of women with disabilities in the ACT and surrounding region.

Our Co-design Scoping Report for our Peer Supports for SBLGBTIQA+ People with Disability project is now live on our website!

We've teamed up with Inclusive Rainbow Voices, and were funded by the ACT Government, to deliver a co-designed program of supports for SBLGBTIQA+ people with disability. As a first step, we've been researching, collecting data, and consulting with others who have experience with similar programs. We want to make sure our co-design is robust, accessible, and appropriate, so that the program meets the needs of the community.

We'd also like to remind you that our co-design survey is still open until the 7th of September - we'd love your feedback!
Links to the report and the survey are in the comments.
