Hi everyone, and thank you for supporting the canteen through the first term of 2024.
We'll be back in term two, but, unfortunately, the pressure of increased costs has become a problem, so we've had to review the price of a few items with effect from Friday 19 April, 2024.
This isn't done for profit, and prices haven't changed for three years, but the cost of sales has been slowly rising and we need to reflect that.

The amended menu will be published in the school newsletter, and copies will be available from reception.
May we wish everyone a safe and happy Easter break.

So it goes around again and the canteen is obviously now closed. Our best wishes to all home schoolers for the next few weeks or however long it lasts.

Welcome back to school to all students. Just to let you know that school lunches will continue to be available on Tuesdays only this term.

The service will continue on that basis whilst the pandemic remains an issue, assuming there is sufficient demand.

Further to the Premier's announcement and Carol's email this morning, school will recommence for preps, and grades 1 and 2 from Tuesday 26 May.

As a trial, the canteen will be open for lunch on Tuesdays only for the time being. The menu will be posted soon.

For this to work, we will need to observe certain restrictions, and your understanding would be very much appreciated.

1. Payment and orders need to be placed in a plastic bag.

2. Correct money only please. To avoid cross contamination, change will not be given. A credit note will be issued instead.

3. If you are providing a lunch order bag, they must not have been used previously.

We'll review the situation once the remaining year groups start in June. Stay safe everyone

Following on from the Premier's announcement and the School's email, we will be moving to remote learning for Term 2. This means that from the start of Term 2 all students who can learn from home must learn at home.

In view of this, and as we are both engaged in work defined as essential during the lockdown, the school canteen will remain closed whilst this level of restriction continues.

We will post an update when circumstances change.

HOWEVER....if you didn't notice and your little one puts an order in today, DON'T PANIC. We'll sort something out for the first couple of days and send them home with a reminder. :-)

IMPORTANT INFO - Changes to Lunch Days **EDITED**

During the school holidays, I've been up in Swifts Creek feeding the emergency workers. Due to the ongoing situation and the ongoing huge recovery work, I will be continuing there for the immediate future.

That means we will be only doing lunches every Friday for now. A slightly amended menu will apply (see below) but we have managed to avoid price increases. I will revert to more days when I can, but in the meantime my apologies for any inconvenience. Please spread the word if you can. Thank you :-)

A printable copy of the menu is available on request. Please use the messenger button if you have questions.

Some dates for your diary.

Firstly. There will be NO Lunches on Thursday 24 October as we'll be watching our daughter at The State Athletics Championships in Melbourne.

Second. The Canteen will be closed following orders on the last Friday in November and will not reopen until the new school year starts.

Apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for your support. We'll be back in 2020 with a new summer menu :-)

It would appear that this page disappeared for a short while. Not sure why, but it's back now, and don't worry - school lunches are still very much available Wed-Fri.

Maybe a baguette, baked fresh every day like this chicken parma or as it's getting warmer, how about a tasty salad with a twist ?
