⭐️A day at the Parliament of NSW

Our Hub Group had the wonderful opportunity to visit Parliament House, thanks to an invitation from Donna Davis MP.

For the group, it was about more than simply visiting an important building. It was a chance to explore, learn, ask questions and experience a part of our community that many of us may not otherwise have had the opportunity to visit.

We’re grateful for the warm welcome and for everyone who helped make the day possible and a big shout-out to our support team and carers for all the planning and coordination behind the scenes!

The Printable Team recently enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Powerhouse Museum in Castle Hill.

We were incredibly grateful for the private tour and insightful discussion with the museum’s dedicated volunteers and staff. Their knowledge, enthusiasm and welcoming approach made the experience both enjoyable and informative.

Some of the highlights included exploring fascinating historical objects and seeing an impressive collection of trains, cars, buggies and other remarkable vehicles.

Thank you to the Powerhouse Museum team for such a memorable and enriching experience!

A great reminder this week of how important local connections are. Thanks to Donna Davis MP for taking the time to visit our Parramatta office to learn more about the work we do and meet with our staff and some of the great people we support.

Thanks for the invitation to visit Community Connections Australia (CCA).

CCA connects people living with disability to a diverse range of tailored and personalised disability services in NSW.

It was great to meet up with Rodney, Estela and the entire group to hear their concerns about a wide range of practical measures that could be adopted by government to support people with disability.

One request was to arrange a visit to Parliament so that is next on my to do list!!

Today we celebrate the contributions, stories and connections to people with disability in our community.
Inclusion starts with everyday actions like listening, welcoming, celebrating and advocating. Together, we can build a community where everyone belongs.

A disability shapes our daily life, challenges and strengths.
Living with a disability has taught us patience, creativity and the importance of community.
We would emphasise that disability is part of human diversity, not a limitation of worth.

Nothing brings the office together like a little holiday magic! On Friday the Hub Team lit up our office Christmas tree and the whole office instantly felt warmer, brighter and a lot more festive. Great job everyone✨
