Unfortunately, we have to cancel the "Say What Now?!" workshop in Coffs Harbour due to low numbers. It’s disappointing, as delivering this session to regional interpreters was something we were genuinely committed to.

The low response is a clear sign that we need to revisit our approach, and we’re open to discussing what would be more valuable or accessible for interpreters in regional areas.

Refunds for registered participants will be issued shortly.

📣 Northern Rivers & Mid North Coast interpreters: LAST CALL!
Registrations close tonight, and numbers are still low. If you’ve been meaning to sign up, now’s the moment before we have to cancel a workshop created directly from regional interpreters' feedback.

📣 Northern Rivers & Mid North Coast interpreters!

You’ve told us how important regional PD is, so we’re bringing a hands on Auslan→English interpreting workshop right to the most accessible midpoint for our communities: Coffs Harbour.

🔥Regional interpreters, this one’s worth the drive. If you’re anywhere near the Mid North Coast, Northern Rivers, New England, or surrounds, this is a rare chance to get high‑quality, voicing‑focused PD without having to trek to Sydney or Brisbane.

A small‑group, Auslan-English interpreting workshop
- personalised coaching
- a genuinely safe, supportive space
- an expert facilitator
= the perfect chance to level up your interpreting skills without the pressure cooker.

And honestly? Make a weekend out of it.
Grab a colleague, book a cosy spot near the beach, enjoy the coast, grab dinner after the workshop, unwind, connect, and turn your PD into a mini getaway. You deserve that.

Saturday 1st August: Half day afternoon 12:30pm-4:30pm.
Sunday 2nd August: Full day 9:30am-4:30pm.

Spots are limited, so if you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the time to jump in.

Many interpreters feel nervous when voicing, even though English is often our everyday language. This one‑and‑a‑half‑day workshop is designed to shift that fear into confidence through practical, hands‑on language work.

You’ll:
• engage with authentic Auslan source texts
• analyse meaning and context
• explore English renderings for clarity and impact
• practise producing confident, intentional voice interpretations
• build vocabulary range to match tone, register, and client needs

Morning and afternoon tea provided — just BYO lunch and a secondary recording device.

🎧 Take your interpreting from mic‑check to mic‑drop.
