🎉 AHA Celebrates 9th Foundation Day with a Spectacular Multicultural Saanjh 2026 🌏🇦🇺🇮🇳

What an unforgettable evening!

The Association of Haryanvis In Australia (AHA) proudly celebrated its 9th Foundation Day through Multicultural Saanjh 2026, bringing together communities from diverse cultural backgrounds to celebrate the values that make Australia one of the world's most successful multicultural societies.

Held at Roselea Community Centre, Beecroft, the event showcased colourful folk dances and cultural performances from India, Nepal and Thailand, demonstrating that while our cultures may be different, our values of friendship, respect and harmony unite us all.

We were honoured to welcome The Hon. John Graham MP, representing the Hon. Chris Minns MP, Premier of New South Wales, as our Chief Guest, along with Dr. S. Janakiraman, Consul General of India in Sydney, councillors, community leaders and representatives from numerous multicultural organisations.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the AHA International Award of Honour to the legendary Haryanvi poet, folk artist, actor and cultural ambassador Dr. Jagbir Rathee, recognising his lifelong contribution to preserving and promoting Haryanvi language, literature and folk culture across the world.

During his visit to Australia, the community also had the privilege of attending a special screening of his latest Haryanvi feature film, "Baingan," further strengthening cultural ties between Australia and India.

This event would not have been possible without the generous support of Multicultural NSW through the Stronger Together Festival and Events Grant Program. We sincerely thank them for believing in our vision of building stronger, more connected communities through culture.

A special thank you to AHA Victoria, led by Mr. Vijaypal Redhu, whose team travelled all the way from Melbourne to support this celebration, reflecting the true spirit of unity within the AHA family.

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to AHA NSW President Mr. Bhupesh Sharma, who led the event coordination with exceptional dedication, supported by an outstanding team including Ajay Dhull, Vibhor Sharma, Rajiv Gupta, Pankaj Mittal, Lalit Uttam, Amardeep Malik, Sanjay Parashar, Mayank Sangwan, Ramesh Kundu, and many other volunteers whose hard work behind the scenes made the event a tremendous success.

Finally, thank you to every performer, sponsor, volunteer, media partner and community member who joined us. Special thanks to Harmohan Walia ji for capturing the moments and to Vaibhavi Joshi JP and Ishika Chahal for handling the stage as MCs. Your support continues to inspire us to build bridges between communities and celebrate the rich diversity that makes Australia stronger.

Together, we celebrate cultures. Together, we strengthen communities. Together, we build a better Australia.

🙏 Thank you for being part of our journey.
