🇦🇺🏅 Congratulations Ritam Malik! 🏅🇦🇺

The Association of Haryanvis in Australia (AHA) extends its heartfelt congratulations to Ritam Malik on his selection to represent Australia in Men's Artistic Gymnastics at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

This is a remarkable achievement and a proud moment not only for Ritam and his family, but also for the entire Australian, Indian and Haryanvi communities. Ritam's journey is a shining example of what dedication, discipline and perseverance can achieve.

We also congratulate his proud parents Rajesh Malik & Nirja , whose support, sacrifices and encouragement have undoubtedly played a significant role in this success. Their achievement is a source of inspiration for families across our community.

We also thank Coach Vassili Trofimov and Sydney Hills Gymnastics for their unwavering guidance, training and inspiration since he joined the Gym at the age of 6.

As the son of parents with roots in Haryana, Ritam beautifully represents the multicultural success story of modern Australia - where hard work, values and determination create opportunities to excel on the world stage.

On behalf of the Haryanvi community across Australia, we wish Ritam every success as he prepares to compete in Glasgow. May he perform at his very best, bring home Gold for Australia, and make Australians, Indians and Haryanvis around the world proud.

रोहतक में हुए दर्दनाक अग्निकांड में तीन लोगों के निधन का समाचार सुनकर हमें गहरा दुःख हुआ। यह घटना केवल प्रभावित परिवारों के लिए ही नहीं, बल्कि पूरे समाज के लिए अत्यंत पीड़ादायक और चिंताजनक है।

एसोसिएशन ऑफ हरियाणवीज़ इन ऑस्ट्रेलिया (AHA) की ओर से हम दिवंगत आत्माओं को विनम्र श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हैं और ईश्वर से प्रार्थना करते हैं कि वे उन्हें अपने श्रीचरणों में स्थान दें। हम शोक संतप्त परिवारों के प्रति अपनी गहरी संवेदनाएँ व्यक्त करते हैं और इस कठिन समय में उन्हें दुःख सहन करने की शक्ति प्रदान करने की प्रार्थना करते हैं। साथ ही, हम सभी घायलों के शीघ्र स्वस्थ होने की कामना करते हैं।

यह हादसा एक बार फिर हमें याद दिलाता है कि आग जैसी आपदाओं से निपटने के लिए पर्याप्त तैयारी कितनी आवश्यक है। हम प्रशासन से आग्रह करते हैं कि शहरों और कस्बों में अग्निशमन विभाग को आधुनिक उपकरणों, पर्याप्त संसाधनों और प्रशिक्षित कर्मचारियों से सशक्त बनाया जाए, ताकि भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं के दौरान जन-धन की हानि को न्यूनतम किया जा सके और समय पर राहत एवं बचाव कार्य सुनिश्चित हो सके।

HOTA Annual Meet 2026 | Ek Drishti • Ek Disha

With immense pride and gratitude, we share that the HOTA Annual Meet 2026 was successfully organised and hosted by the Association of Haryanvis in Australia (AHA) on 28th March 2026.

This year’s theme — “Ek Drishti • Ek Disha” (One Vision • One Direction) — truly came alive as representatives from more than 70 Hindu organisations across Australia came together under one roof, reflecting unity, collaboration and shared purpose.

We were deeply honoured to be graced by:

The Hon Premier, in his address and subsequent message, acknowledged the vibrant contribution of Hindu organisations to the multicultural fabric of NSW and appreciated the coming together of so many groups under a shared vision.
Hon Warren Kirby MP also emphasised the importance of community collaboration and recognised the role of such platforms in strengthening social cohesion and engagement.

The event was not just a gathering, but a reflection of collective strength - where ideas were exchanged, partnerships were explored, and a roadmap for future collaboration was discussed.

A special highlight of the day was the satvik food lovingly prepared by AHA team members at home, served with warmth and devotion. The traditional Haryanvi delicacies - Churma and Lassi - were particularly appreciated by all attendees, adding a beautiful cultural touch to the event.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to:

Heartiest congratulations to Team India on becoming T20 World Champions! It is a day of immense joy for all of us here in Australia. Seeing the boys dominate the tournament with such spirit makes every Indian, and especially every Haryanvi, incredibly proud.
