Thank you to everyone who were part of the launch today of The Wishing Tree as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

It was wonderful to see so many community organisations and individuals come together for such an important cause especially Parramatta Council, NSW Police and the Parramatta Women’s Shelter.

The Wishing Tree of Hope art installation designed to bring messages of hope, healing and solidarity for people experiencing family and domestic violence. We are inviting members of the community to write their messages of hope and healing and hang these messages on The Wishing Tree to symbolise strength and unity against family and domestic violence. The Wishing Tree will ‘blossom’ over the coming days as more messages of hope are added to its branches.

The Wishing Tree is located in the foyer of the Parramatta Library at PHIVE, 5 Parramatta Square, Parramatta. Our team will be on hand to answer any questions and provide help if you or someone you know needs assistance. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
