💙 More volunteers needed – and there's a place for everyone.

After such a wonderful morning with our guests from Bolton Clarke Westmead, we're reminded that these special outings are only possible because of our amazing volunteers.

As more aged care residents look forward to getting outdoors, enjoying a ride along the river, and sharing conversation over morning tea, we need more helping hands to make it happen.

🚲 Train as a Pilot and take passengers on trishaw rides.
🚶 Ride alongside and support our passengers and pilots.
☕ Join the conversation around the morning tea table.
📸 Help with photography, social media, fundraising, or event support.

Whether you can give a few hours each month or become a regular volunteer, every little bit of help is welcomed and appreciated.

You might come to volunteer to help others, but many of our volunteers discover something unexpected along the way—a sense of purpose, friendship, and connection within the community.

💙 We miss you already, Bolton Clarke Westmead!

Thank you for sharing such a memorable morning with us. From the riverside ride to the conversations over morning tea, it was a pleasure spending time together and seeing so many smiles.

The rain may have made a brief appearance, but it certainly didn't dampen the spirit of the day. The laughter, stories, and connections made the morning one to remember.

🚲☕ The wait was worth it!

What a wonderful first morning with Bolton Clarke Westmead. A huge thank you to the lovely couples who joined us for morning tea and a relaxing ride along the river.

Despite a light sprinkle of rain, nothing could dampen the joy of being outdoors, sharing stories, enjoying good company, and feeling the fresh air on our faces. Moments like these remind us that connection, conversation, and a change of scenery can make all the difference.

Our volunteers love these mornings just as much as the residents. Seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter, and creating opportunities for meaningful connections is what Cycling Without Age is all about.

We look forward to many more rides and shared adventures together. 💙🚲

Welcome back, volunteers, services, and passengers!

This month, Uniting Westmead and North Parramatta enjoyed a beautiful morning tea by the river. Everyone shared fruit platters and scones with a cuppa, and it was such a pleasure to listen to the stories and see the smiles on everyone's faces as riders returned from their trips.

Moments like these are what Cycling Without Age is all about—connection, conversation, and community.

A huge thank you to the Western Sydney Cycling Network and Western Sydney Chapter volunteers for generously purchasing four new helmets for our Cycling Without Age Parramatta Chapter.

These helmets help our volunteers work more efficiently — preparing passengers and getting rides ready while others are already out on the trishaw, sharing joy and connection across our community.

☀ Sunshine, smiles & riverside joy!

Morning tea, laughter, and a ride along the river – what a way to start the day! 🚲💛
One resident told us they were bored… until the trishaw arrived, ferries passed by, and the riverside buzzed with children, dogs, and friendly waves. Suddenly – nothing but big smiles!

We’re so proud to share that our amazing Community Captain and founder of Cycling Without Age – Parramatta Chapter, Charlene Bordley, has been named a finalist for Western Sydney Community Woman of the Year at the 2025 Western Sydney Women Awards! 🚴‍♀️💛

Charlene has worked tirelessly to make cycling more accessible and inclusive for all — from launching our local Cycling Without Age rides, to creating the Parramatta Bike Hub, Community Bike Library, and Her Cycling Connections programs that empower women and connect community through active transport.

This nomination is a huge recognition of her leadership and passion for people. 💫
