Welcome back, volunteers, services, and passengers!

This month, Uniting Westmead and North Parramatta enjoyed a beautiful morning tea by the river. Everyone shared fruit platters and scones with a cuppa, and it was such a pleasure to listen to the stories and see the smiles on everyone's faces as riders returned from their trips.

Moments like these are what Cycling Without Age is all about—connection, conversation, and community.

Thank you, Western Sydney Cycling Network 💛🚲

A huge thank you to the Western Sydney Cycling Network and Western Sydney Chapter volunteers for generously purchasing four new helmets for our Cycling Without Age Parramatta Chapter.

These helmets help our volunteers work more efficiently — preparing passengers and getting rides ready while others are already out on the trishaw, sharing joy and connection across our community.

We’re so grateful for your ongoing support of inclusive cycling and community wellbeing.

Morning tea, laughter, and a ride along the river – what a way to start the day! 🚲💛
One resident told us they were bored… until the trishaw arrived, ferries passed by, and the riverside buzzed with children, dogs, and friendly waves. Suddenly – nothing but big smiles!

💛 Small gestures, big impact – thanks to our amazing volunteers.

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉
We’re so proud to share that our amazing Community Captain and founder of Cycling Without Age – Parramatta Chapter, Charlene Bordley, has been named a finalist for Western Sydney Community Woman of the Year at the 2025 Western Sydney Women Awards! 🚴‍♀️💛

Charlene has worked tirelessly to make cycling more accessible and inclusive for all — from launching our local Cycling Without Age rides, to creating the Parramatta Bike Hub, Community Bike Library, and Her Cycling Connections programs that empower women and connect community through active transport.

This nomination is a huge recognition of her leadership and passion for people. 💫

Let’s all cheer her on as she represents Parramatta and the power of riding together! 👏👏👏
