Kangaroo Island Community Club Inc. The Kangaroo Island Community Club Inc. Parndana was chosen after a poll across the Island. was held on July 13, 1964.

was established in 1964 due to the lack of a licensed premises for social interaction for the War Service Settlers and their families. The inaugural meeting for the formation of the Kangaroo Island Community Club Inc. Two days later, on July 15, the first committee was elected, a liquor license was to be sort, solicitor appointed and the land East of the old hall site to the road be obtained throu

gh the Lands Department. A temporary premises and license were sort in the back of Whitbread’s Store. (Now the Parndana Post Office Building) which started operation on 16th September 1964. Between 1964 and 2006 The Club was run by the committee and managers then the premises was leased as a hotel which remains the same arrangement to this day. The Club and Hotel alike serves as a meeting place for members, locals and visitors to the Island for social interaction, meals and events.
