Public housing affects everyone. It stabilises rents, supports communities and keeps people in their homes. Expanding privately owned “social” and “affordable” housing instead of true public housing puts profits before people - and we can’t afford that.

"Thanks to all who came to our 3 and a half hour occupation … err l mean pleasant little picnic … out the front of Labor’s Minister for Housing Harriet Shing’s office in Melbourne. A fun little action, someone walking past donated $9 and even the security guard who removed the tiny house l set up on the ‘garden’ made a joke about ‘staying off the weed’. Sadly no sign of our friend Ms Shing but there’s always next time 🙂"
