Join us in our annual Step 3 volunteering opportunity, this year in collaboration with Medical Pantry to fight medical equipment waste.

In our theme this year, “The Impact of AI and Technology on Global Health,” we explore not only the benefits of innovation, but also its environmental impacts, including energy use, resource consumption and healthcare waste.

Volunteering with Medical Pantry gives us the opportunity to be hands-on, helping reduce unnecessary medical waste while learning how to make healthcare innovation more sustainable and equitable. 🌏🩺♻️
Together we will be sorting donated products and packing them into boxes and pallets at the Medical Pantry Warehouse. We look forward to seeing you all there!!

Date is TBC, and please note that spots are limited and available on a rolling basis. Emails will be sent to those who secure a spot with more details.

One of our favourite events every year is the Nossal High School Global Health workshops!

Facilitating discussion and games allows us to share our knowledge and passion to the next generation of students who may pursue health or be interested in global health. We want to thank all our volunteers again for embodying MUGHS' vision of 'Thinking Globally, Acting Locally' and look forward to seeing even more volunteers at our future events.

Yes, you read that right we're holding our AGM again, MUGHS invites you to attend our Annual General Meeting for 2026! This time, we're having 🧋FREE BOBA 🧋 for all UMSU MUGHS members, so please be sure to become a member before attending.

At the AGM you will have opportunities to learn how to get further involved in MUGHS, vote for next year's committee, and ask questions to the current committee to see what they've been up to.

Thanks to the hard work of the MUGHS Outreach Team, Algorithm of Health was a huge success, and we gained valuable insights into the real-world impact of AI in healthcare. It was such a wonderful event to wrap up MUGHS Semester 1, 2026 👏
