🤍Men’s Opens Wrapped 🖤

After a challenging start to the tournament, the men’s side struggled to find their rhythm early, falling short in their opening three matches. 🏑The team showed great resilience to bounce back with an exciting end-to-end victory over HNE, proving what they were capable of when things clicked. 🔥

While the result wasn’t enough to avoid a relegation playoff, the boys saved their best for last, finishing the weekend in style with a dominant 7–2 win over Tamworth. 💪🏼 Their determination, growth, and ability to stick together through adversity was a credit to the team and a strong way to end the campaign.🌟

🏑WOMEN’S OPENS WRAP UP 🏑

The Women’s Opens side opened their campaign with a hard-fought draw against Dubbo. The girls faced tough opposition throughout the tournament and continued to compete strongly in every match. 🤍🖤

With ladder positions leading to another clash against Southern Highlands before finishing the weekend against Metro South West in the 5th vs 6th playoff. 🏅

While results didn’t quite fall their way, the team showed great resilience, determination and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Plenty to be proud of and valuable experience gained against quality opposition. 👏🏻

💙❤️MASTERS WRAPPED💙❤️

A week late, but we’ve finally recovered from the huge effort of hosting the 2026 South Half State Women’s Masters!

What an incredible weekend it was, with five Parkes teams proudly taking to their home turf and representing our association with passion, determination and plenty of fun along the way. 🏑

⭐ Parkes 1 (Over 34s Division 1)
A hard-fought campaign saw the team finish with 3 draws and 2 losses, securing 5th place in a competitive division.

⭐ Parkes 2 (Over 34s Division 3)
Despite a tough draw, the team never stopped battling, finishing with 1 draw and 4 losses to place 5th.

🥈 Parkes 3 (Over 34s Division 4)
These ladies proved the grass fields couldn’t slow them down! With 2 wins and 2 draws, they stormed their way into the Grand Final. Although they narrowly went down 1-0, they finished the carnival as proud runners-up.

🏆 Parkes 4 (Over 45s Division 1)
Simply unstoppable! Going undefeated through the rounds with 4 wins and a draw, they carried that momentum into the Grand Final and claimed a thrilling 1-0 victory to be crowned State Champions on home soil!

🏆 Parkes 5 (Over 50s Division 2)
These ladies showed exactly why experience counts. Their grass hockey roots came in handy as they dominated the competition with an incredible SIX wins from six matches, finishing on top and bringing home another State Title for Parkes!

🏑 HOCKEY NSW AWARDS 🏆

Last night, Sally McPherson and Jack Elliott attended the Hockey NSW Awards after being nominated in the Community Hockey Awards category and they didn’t just attend, they brought home some trophies! 🌟

🏆 Jack was named Community Coach of the Year, a well-deserved recognition of his tireless commitment to developing the next generation of players, sharing his knowledge, and giving countless hours to the game.

🏆 Sally was awarded Community Volunteer of the Year, acknowledging her unwavering dedication to the juniors of Parkes Hockey and the enormous impact she has behind the scenes.

These awards are a reflection of the passion, commitment, and heart that both Jack and Sally pour into our association every single day. Their efforts help create opportunities for our players, strengthen our hockey community, and make Parkes Hockey the special place that it is.✨

We are incredibly fortunate to have two people of this calibre representing our association. Congratulations Jack and Sally these awards could not be more deserved! 👏🏻
