Families are warmly invited to join us tomorrow for a supportive workshop focused on understanding and responding to children’s big emotions and behaviours.

Coming up this week, we are so excited to share with you all that ~ Tui n Friends will be joining us for a super fun & interactive session of culture, connection and creativity!

Please arrive at 10.45am to allow our friends from kindergarten to exit the hub & return to their classroom.

Be ready for the fun and magic to begin at 11.00am. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Our new program Cook & Connect has brought together some very special community members and families of our Corymbia community.

Here in our Hub kitchen, our very own Afghani friends ❤️ sisters Sakinen & Batoul shared with us a signature dish called Mantu, which is a delicious & tasty Afghani dumpling with a yoghurt sauce. Ohhh laaa laaa! 😃

A huge Tashakkurr - Thank you to our Afghani friends Sakinen & Batoul for your willingness and paasion to share your cuisine, your culture and your stories with us!

The next Cook & Connect session will be held in our Hub kitchen on Thurs 27th Aug between 12.00pm-2.00pm.

The recipes and food shared during Cook & Connect so far has been delicious, we are so excited to be able to build & create our Corymbia Recipe book together and celebrate the diversity here at Corymbia SS and connect with one another! 😍

🌟 Hello weekend! 🌟

What an amazing week we've had! We hope all our families enjoy a wonderful and relaxing weekend, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for Week 4 on Monday.

This week we launched our new Cook & Connect program, and it has already been a huge hit! 💛 We were lucky to experience the beautiful aromas and flavours inspired by the Island's, giving us a small but meaningful taste of home and culture.

Have you entered in the art competition? Entries close tomorrow!

To celebrate NAIDOC Week, we are excited to launch our 2026 NAIDOC Art Competition!

Students are invited to create an artwork inspired by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, stories, Country, or this year's NAIDOC celebrations. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to express their creativity while deepening their understanding and appreciation of First Nations cultures.

The theme for the year was "50 Years of Deadly", commemorating five decades of the NAIDOC movement and celebrating the strength, achievements and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Competition Details: NAIDOC Art Competition
• Entries open: Wednesday 16 July
• Entries close: Tuesday 28 July 2026
• Submit artwork to: Miss Ballam (Level 2 Balcony)

There will be one winner from each year level (Kindy–Year 6). Each winner will receive a prize pack, and their artwork will be proudly displayed in the school office foyer. Additional outstanding artworks will also be showcased during our NAIDOC celebrations.

The winners will be announced during our NAIDOC Celebration on Friday 31 July.

Following our school Corymbia State School - Park Ridge NAIDOC Week assembly, FamilyLinQ warmly invites families and community members to come together for a cuppa and yarn.
Let's celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
