FOPOR Friends of Park Orchards Reserves

Sunday 26 October 10 am meet at 100 acres reserve Park Orchards Arundel Road entry - all welcome. Friends of Park Orchards Reserves would like to monitor the revegetation area close to Berringa Rd and we need a few locals who are handy with phone cameras (or real ones) to take pictures of the hundreds of native plants that have been put in the ground over the last 3 years, plus the wildflowers blooming there at the moment. We will also do a bit of weeding around the new plantings - any help very much appreciated! Permanent markers, tools and gloves provided. This is a Landcare Victoria activity working together with Manningham Council to look after our local parks. Many thanks!

Update on our working (social and fun!) bee which will go ahead on Saturday 04 May 10.30 am in the revegetation area in the 100 acres.
We want to remove some of the tree guards and do a bit of hand weeding to prepare the ground to plant more native grasses, shrubs and trees on National Tree day 28 July this year. All welcome, meet at the 100 acres Berringa Road entry, opposite 180 Berringa Road. All hand tools and gloves provided. Gum boots recommended! There will be a BBQ at lunchtime, food and drinks provided by our Landcare Victoria Group. Thank you to Manningham Council for providing the plants and ongoing support. Plenty of safe parking space available at Knees Road carpark next to the oval and at the Arundel Road entry to the 100 acres, only a short walk from Berringa Road.
