Congratulations to our juniors who came out this morning to run and walk the ovals. A big welcome to our four first timers... hope to see you all again soon.

Congratulations to Ziggy and Abigail, who both finished their 11th junior parkrun... the equivalent of a half marathon!

☀️Good morning sunshine!☀️
The forecast rain didn't scare us off and we instead had blue skies and sun!

We had 36 enthusiastic juniors today who all did an incredible job including:
🧡 An amazing 13 first timers! We hope you enjoyed your first event and we can't wait to see you back again soon.
🧡 6 new PBs...congratulations!

As always, a HUGE thank you to our amazing team of volunteers. If you have a WWCC and would like to volunteer next Sunday we are looking for two funnel managers, one tail walker and a marshal.

Looking forward to seeing lots of sunny faces at Thorndon juniors tomorrow even if the sun may not be shining in the sky. so come join us in the morning for a run, walk, hop, skip or volunteer!

Local Rotary have asked us to share this opportunity with the Thorndon juniors community. Please be quick as it’s being widely publicised now. Great opportunity to learn mental health first aid which will have a positive ripple effect across the community.

Rotary is providing the opportunity for 20 people to become a mental health first aider with an accredited mental health first aid (MHFA) course from Mental Health Partners.

Course cost is sponsored by Rotary, participants are required to pay a $25 admin fee to register, which is donated back to Rotary.

▪️Format: Face-to-face over 4 sessions
▪️Dates: Thursday 21 May, Thursday 28 May, Thursday 4 June and Thursday 11 June
▪️Time: All sessions starting at 6 pm
▪️Venue: Fullarton Park Community Centre, 411 Fullarton Road, Fullarton

MHFA training is a valuable program for any adult (18+) who wants to support others, particularly those involved in schools, sporting clubs, Scouts/Guides, volunteer groups and community organisations.
