Thorndon junior parkrun needs a couple more volunteers to help keep our junior parkrunners safe, cheered on, and heading the right way this Sunday morning! It takes about an hour, requires zero experience, and guarantees maximum high-fives.

Note: Volunteers for this role must hold a valid SA Working with Children Check (WWCC).

What a brilliant morning for Thorndon junior parkrun today! A massive well done to the 30 amazing juniors who ran, jogged, and walked their way around the course.

We had a couple of milestones presented today, a huge round of applause to Riley and Cathy who achieved their 10 junior parkrun milestone! Cathy also achieved her 10 junior volunteer milestone. Well done to both of you!

A special well done to 6 of our juniors who achieved a personal best today! We were also welcomed by 3 first timers to the event, we hope you all enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon!

As always, this event wouldn't be able to happen without our incredible team of volunteers. Thank you so much to all our volunteers who helped make today possible!

This upcoming Sunday we are looking for a couple of Funnel Managers and additional marshals. If you have your SA Working with Children Check (WWCC) and want to try out volunteering at junior parkruns, we'd love to hear from you!

Thorndon junior parkrun is ready for you!

The event team is ready and we are so looking forward to seeing all your wonderful faces out nice and early!

For anyone new to the event, please arrive around 7:45am for the First Timers Briefing. This will then be followed by the main briefing, and then warmup and 8 am to start the morning!

Don't forget your barcode and a big smile. See you in the park!
