The first night back after the summer break is always a bit crazy, so we kept it simple with a night of team games. Smiles and laughs all around. For night 2 we will be doing some cooking!

A group of our Scouts running their own Lord of the Rings Escape room. The event took a couple of nights to complete but it was great seeing them work together to solve the puzzles.

Scouts: Tonight the Scouts built a Davinci bridge, first using paddle pop sticks and then planks. They learnt in both cases it's vital to work as a team, and follow a plan. Learning from the review last time we built this we doubled the thickness of the planks so it was better able to support it's own mass.

The last night of Scouts for the term we visited Wasp Creek Rural Fire Brigade. The rain played havoc with the original plans of a fun night of water activities. The Wasp Creek volunteers still had activities to keep everyone busy. We ended the night with a sausage sizzle and donut birthday cake for one of our Scouts. We are planning another visit in Term 4 to have our fun night of water activities.

Cub Scouts: Firstly thanks to our parent helpers, when leaders are unwell we can only carry on with your help. We have had to run a different program these past few weeks, this week we brought forward Scouting History and did games and activities based upon B.P., how Scouting began, and what all our badges and symbols mean.

Cub Scouts: First night back for 2024, lots of noise and lots of fun. It was all games tonight with a few new faces and many familiar ones too.

The Cubs and Joey's have spent the last few weeks working on their knots and lashings. We also spent some time building Play Doh boats, with the challenge of making one that could hold the most marbles. The record was 36.
