🌟Celebrating Yinhawangka Leadership

There are moments worth celebrating because they reflect not only individual achievement, but the strength and future of community.

This week, we're delighted to congratulate Petrina Injie on being accepted into the Yorga Djenna Bidi Leadership Program.

A proud Yinhawangka woman, Petrina grew up in Bellary Springs and Paraburdoo and has built a diverse career across the mining, logistics and project industries.

She now works as a Cultural Specialist with the Yinhawangka Foundation , where she helps ensure Yinhawangka voices, perspectives and aspirations remain at the heart of the Foundation's work.

Driven by a deep connection to Country, culture and community, Petrina is passionate about creating positive outcomes for Yinhawangka people and strengthening opportunities for future generations.

Being selected for the Yorga Djenna Bidi Leadership Program is a significant achievement and a testament to her leadership, dedication and commitment to community.

🎨 ARTIST RESIDENCY OPPORTUNITY - LIMITED PLACES

The Yinhawangka Foundation is inviting Yinhawangka women to express their interest in a five-day Artist Residency in Perth from 20–24 July 2026.

This unique opportunity will support participants to develop their painting practice, strengthen storytelling skills, learn artwork photography and exhibition techniques, and build confidence in the business side of art.

Participants will receive:

β€’ Mentoring from professional artists

These workshops are a chance to strengthen artistic practice, learn from one another and yarn about future opportunities for Yinhawangka artists.
