Palmwoods Community Branch turns 20
Heritage Palmwoods Community Branch is celebrating 20 years in Palmwoods and inviting the community to join in the celebrations.
An in-branch celebration will be held from 10am Friday, 27 February, with locals encouraged to pop in, say hello and help mark the milestone.
The branch is a joint venture between Heritage Bank and the local community, represented by Palmwoods Community Branch Ltd (PCB Ltd), which was established after 99 local investors raised $200,000 to help open the branch.
Over the past two decades, the friendly faces behind the counter have become a familiar and trusted part of the Palmwoods community - helping locals with their banking, volunteering their time, and supporting community groups and local events.
Since opening in 2006, the branch has proudly given more than $12.3 million back to the Palmwoods community. Through Heritage's community branch model, PCB's profits are reinvested straight back into Palmwoods, helping fund local projects, events and initiatives that make the town such a great place to live. It’s a true team effort between Heritage Bank, the branch directors and the local community - and a big reason why the branch has continued to thrive over the past 20 years.
