As Queensland Mental Health Week continues, take a moment to pause and check in with yourself. We often ask others how they're doing, but how often do we ask ourselves?

Look beyond the automatic "I'm fine" response. Are you feeling happy, stressed, tired, overwhelmed, hopeful or anxious? Taking the time to recognise and acknowledge your emotions is an important part of caring for your mental wellbeing.

Maybe it's rest, connection, fresh air, movement, quiet time or support from someone you trust. Understanding what you need can help you take positive steps towards feeling your best.

Self-care doesn't have to be complicated. It could be a walk around the block, a chat with a friend, a cup of tea, listening to music or a few minutes of mindful breathing. Small actions can make a big difference.
Remember, wellbeing isn't about feeling good all the time. It's about checking in, being kind to yourself and taking steps to support your mental health.
