The Why, When and How
Michael Soutter, his wife Jodie and kids Abbie and Tom have been passionate about a cure for cancer for many years. Their fundraising team The Physicals have been hard at work for over 10 years raising money for Cancer Council. Over this time, they have run events of all shapes and sizes and have raised an incredible total.
Earlier this year, Michael trained for and ran 100km in laps around Lakeside Lake as their major fundraiser for the year. The day was a huge success, with Michael completing the 100km surrounded by 100’s of friends, family and supporters and helping them raise over $17,000 that year.
We thought that was it, where could he go from here? Well, only a few months later Michael made the announcement that he was going to go even better and run 100 miles! (that’s approx 160km) in December 2019.
Michael will take on this massive run on December 14th, starting at 10am. The day will be huge, with raffles, catering, and extra fundraising activities taking place throughout the day while Michael runs.
