Mobility Scooters are available to hire from the Show Mobility Stand, located at site L71 – just inside the gate from the GREEN carpark.

All scooters must be collected and returned to this location on the day of hire.

Hours of hire are from 8:30am-4.00pm.

Reservation online is highly recommended to avoid disappointment, however walk-up hires on the day may be possible if there is equipment available.

All scooter bookings will require your driver’s licence or photo identification to be shown on the day. If the hirer does not have this, one will need to be provided by a spouse, family member, carer or another person in the party. There are no exceptions to this.

👉🏼 Improved Daily Living Skills.

The impacts will be different for every participant because every plan is based on individual goals, circumstances and support needs.

Participant safety and wellbeing are our priority, so a range of supports will not be affected.

Supports that won’t be affected include essential day-to-day supports like help with eating, drinking, dressing, toileting, laundry, cleaning, nurse care, and medication.

Have your voice heard on the world stage.

The Australian Human Rights Commission is accepting applications from people with disability to attend conferences in New York and Japan in 2027.

The events will focus on disability rights, gender equality and disaster risk reduction.

To apply, you will need support from an organisation approved by the UN.

📆 Applications close 11.00 pm AEDT, Sunday 1 November 2026.

Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing funds this initiative through the Supporting Participation Program.

Had a planning meeting with a Client today.

Planner was lovely, no issues, then at the end she asked if we could participate in a survey.

Client and I agreed, I thought it would have been asking how we found her, rating her out of 10 etc. she then proceeded to go through the WHODAS….

WHODAS is NOT a survey, it is a standardised assessment…. Ffs.

‼️ SUPPORT DETERMINATIONS = PUBLISHED ‼️

Live on the Federal Register and in force - NDIS Legislative Instruments commence tomorrow (Thursday 1st October).

Confirming no surprises with the percentages:

• Social Community funding = 50% blocked

• Improved Daily living funding = 10% blocked

Cohort impacted:

• All Old Framework plans approved on or after 1st October 2026

Excluded (protected) supports are listed line by line towards the end of the determination:

In social economic community participation

• Employment supports

• High intensity supports

• Intensive and complex behaviour supports

In improved daily living

• Disability health supports (basically all the nurse lines; NOT including other DRHS allied health disciplines)

• Customised / wearable technology (i.e. prosthetist/orthotist)

• Hearing services (audiologist/audiometrist)

Eligibility for High Support Needs variation pathway:

Participants must meet both criteria to be deemed a High Support Needs Participant under this provision:

• NDIA records show the plan has R&N allocated funds for NDIS supports covering continuous 24‑hour care in the Home & Living, Assistance with Daily Life, and/or Social Economic Community Participation budgets

• The total funding for any or a combination of those budgets written into the plan is "at least equal to $215,030"
