63,000 First Nations people are on the NDIS. This budget cuts $37.8 billion from disability with no culturally validated assessment, no funded Forum, and no ACCO delivery pathway.

We support reform, but reform must work for everyone. First Nations people with disability deserve to be designed in, not out.

This timeline the government posted on the Budget website is very informative.

• 01/07/2026: Mandatory registration for SIL & Platform Providers

• 01/10/2026: Phased rollout of Thriving Kids begins

• 01/02/2027: Plan rollovers will NO LONGER carry over unspent funds from this date (!!!!!!!!)

• 01/07/2027: Initial rollout of personal care providers needing to be registered begins, with ALL providers needing to be registered by 2030.

• 01/10/2027: New panel of plan management providers begins (6 month transition period)

• 01/07/2028: Support Coordinators seem to become a commisioned service.
