🌏 IEA is delighted to recognise Vince Heffernan as an Honorary Accreditee of the Institute of Ecological Agriculture.

A sixth-generation sheep grazier, Vince has spent more than two decades putting regenerative agriculture into practice at Moorlands in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales.

From restoring waterways and biodiversity to embracing First Nations knowledge and cultural burning practices, Vince has demonstrated a deep commitment to understanding, working with and continually learning from the land.

Importantly, Vince has generously shared that knowledge with others. Through farming, mentoring, field days and education, he has inspired farmers, students and communities to explore how productive agriculture can work in partnership with healthy, functioning ecosystems.

Join us in congratulating Vince on this well-deserved recognition and celebrating the leadership, generosity and commitment he brings to the regenerative agriculture community 👏

👏Congratulations Dr Lorraine Gordon!

The Institute of Ecological Agriculture (IEA) is proud to announce our most recently Accredited Member, Dr Lorraine Gordon.

A regenerative beef cattle trader and Principal of Natural Capital Standards Australia with Climate Friendly, Lorraine’s journey from a young farmer to an authoritative voice on ecology economics and regenerative agriculture is truly inspiring.

Challenging conventional thinking while remaining grounded in her understanding of ‘life on the land,’ Lorraine is a thought leader in the farming community. She founded the National Regenerative Agriculture Alliance (RAA) in 2018 and directed the Commonwealth Government's Farm Cooperatives and Collaboration (Farming Together) Program from 2016 to 2019 (reaching 28,000 farmers).

In 2019, as Director of Strategic Projects at Southern Cross University, Lorraine established the World's first Bachelor of Science in Regenerative Agriculture in partnership with the RAA and Farming Together. In its first year, the degree rated number 1 in Australia for overall experience in the Good Universities Guide. Lorraine went on to establish a Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in Regenerative Agriculture for Southern Cross University.

A long-time member of the IEA and Director on the IEA Board, Lorraine leads by example in becoming accredited with the IEA, an organisation which she believes has “an important independent role to play in the future of ecological agriculture in Australia.” Please join us in congratulating Lorraine on achieving accreditation with the IEA.
