It was great to welcome Graeme McLean and Jill Everett to Parliament House last week.🏛️

Graeme and Jill are both dedicated Rotarians from Orange who give so much back to our community. It was a pleasure to show them around the halls of Parliament House and catch up on the fantastic work Rotary continues to do for our community.

Another great cause the Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak supports each year.

This Friday and Saturday, the Mherv - Men's Health Education Rural Van will be visiting Orange thanks to the great work of the Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak

The van will be located at the Bunnings Orange car park from 9am–4pm on Friday 22 May and Saturday 23 May, offering FREE health checks including blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure testing, all conducted by appropriately qualified medical personnel.

While the initiative has a strong focus on encouraging men to be more proactive about their health, women are also warmly invited to attend and take part.

Too often, men put off regular health checks, so this is a fantastic opportunity for people to take a few minutes out of their day to check in on their health in a simple, free and accessible way.

A big thank you to the Orange Daybreak Rotary Club for helping bring this important service to our community.

The 2026 Cruisin’ Along trek has now been completed. All up, Daybreakers and friends covered 2,100 km during their annual fundraiser.

"We started from the Orange Botanic Gardens and went to the Warrumbungles via the Hair of the Dog hotel and Mendooran. Next day to Narrabri via Baradine and the Pilliga, then to Goondiwindi via Terry Hei Hei and on to St George via the Nindigully pub. A rest day at St George with a river cruise and wine tasting. Then back home thru Dirranbandi staying at Lightning Ridge, next to Narrabri via Carinda and Macquarie Marshes. A last stop at Condobolin via the Rabbit Trap hotel at Albert.

The fundraising efforts have been directed at Central West Clinical Cancer Trials Orange headed by Director Dr Rob Zielinski. We have raised $60,000, which is an outstanding amount and thanks go to the Cruisin’ Along team, their sponsors and support from the Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak.

We look forward to the hand over by Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak of $60,000 to Central West, Orange Clinical Cancer Trials group, Dr. Rob Zielinski."

We are in awe. An anonymous donor just gave us $1,000, bringing our total funds raised from our morning tea to $5,363.
