A very special congratulations to the entire team - Tracey, Keags, Phillipa, Judy and Lindsay, who have all received nominations from families.

We already know how outstanding these wonderful educators are, and we feel incredibly lucky to have them as our Pinnacle Preschool team. But to see their care, dedication and commitment recognised by the broader community — and especially by the families of the children they support every day — makes these nominations even more special.

To have all members of our team recognised is something we are incredibly proud of. It is a beautiful reflection of the relationships they build, the difference they make and the genuine care they bring to their work each and every day.

📣 A great free event for parents, carers and young people in our region

Down Syndrome NSW is hosting a FREE Inclusive Education Conference in Dubbo on Monday 19th October, and we wanted to share this opportunity with Pinnacle Preschool families.

Importantly, this conference is not just for families of children with Down syndrome. It is open to families of children and young people with disability and additional support needs, from the early years through school and into adulthood.

The day includes two streams, so families can choose sessions most relevant to them:

💜 Early Years & Primary
Practical sessions covering communication, behaviour and regulation, inclusion, transitions and working in partnership with schools and other supports.

💜 High School & Beyond
Sessions exploring self-advocacy, confidence, independence, transition planning and meaningful pathways beyond school.

Young people with disability are also very welcome to attend, with interactive workshops giving high school students the opportunity to be part of conversations about their own future.

✨ The conference is completely FREE, with local organisations and services also attending throughout the day.

Today we’re celebrating our Pinnacle Preschool superheroes! 🦸‍♀️💚🧡💗

Early Childhood Educators’ Day is a chance to recognise the incredible people who help shape children’s learning, confidence, wellbeing and development during these very important early years.

This year’s theme, “The Future Starts With Us!”, couldn’t be more fitting. Every day, our educators encourage curiosity, build confidence, nurture friendships, support learning and help children discover just how capable they are.

They may not wear capes every day, but to us, they’re absolutely superheroes. 💫

To our wonderful Pinnacle Preschool educators, Judy, Lindsay, Phillipa, Keagan and Tracey — thank you for your patience, creativity, kindness, energy and the care you bring to every child and family. We appreciate everything you do.

What an exciting day we had today! The children headed off to the Civic Theatre to see Room on the Broom 🎭🧙‍♀️.

For many of the children, the bus ride was an adventure in itself! 🚌 We travelled together there and back, practising our road safety skills, staying together and enjoying the excitement of being out in the community.

The children were captivated by the show, joining in with the fun and enjoying the wonderful characters and story. 💜✨

In October 2026, the Australian Government is launching AusAlert –
a new national warning system that uses the latest technology to
send emergency messages to compatible mobile phones, tablets
and smart watches.

Before AusAlert is ready to use, the system will be tested. The below information is to help you prepare for the test which will take place during school hours on July 27th. Schools should be well prepared but perhaps discuss this with your child so that they don't find it unsettling or frightening. Even if schools ensure mobile phones are in lockers etc. children wearing smart watches will receive the loud alarm sound.

The test will make a loud siren-like sound and vibrate for about
10 seconds. It will sound even if your device is on ‘silent’ or ‘do not
disturb’. If this noise could disrupt you or cause you to feel unsafe,
please turn off your mobile devices or switch them to airplane
mode before the test time and leave them off for at least one hour.

AusAlert test messages will clearly say they are a test. You don’t need to do anything. But in an actual emergency, follow the AusAlert instructions to keep yourself and others safe.
