WE'RE HIRING - CREATIVE ALL-ROUNDER – CRAFT PRODUCTION & CUSTOMER ROLE (not a junior or first job).
Fast-paced casual creative role for people with flexible availability who are great with their hands, design & colour, and can communicate clearly while working in energetic environments.
We run a busy, paid kids craft activation at a major festival. This is practical production + customer interaction, not slow personal crafting.
$30/hr casual
March 21 – April 21
Shifts vary (approx 2–5 hrs), around 1–3 shifts per week, with additional hours during peak times. Shifts are offered on an on-call, variable basis rather than fixed casual rosters.
Location: Silvan, VIC
Closest suburbs: Monbulk, Kallista, Seville, Mt Evelyn, Belgrave.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Assemble and finish craft pieces using hot glue and hand tools (training provided)
• Help customers choose designs, colours and add-ons
• Communicate with adults and children while working
• Work across craft space and small retail shop
• Take payments (Square)
• Keep flow moving during busy periods.
THIS ROLE SUITS
• Practical creative’s with good visual judgement
• Market makers, creative teachers, performers or similar
• People with experience working in children’s environments
• Calm, organised multitaskers.
REQUIREMENTS
• Live within 30 minutes of Silvan
• Own transport
• Available weekdays & weekends
• On-call and short-notice availability
• Some customer-facing experience
• ABN preferred
• All ages encouraged to apply.
Strong performers are offered additional shifts at this festival and future events.
