Crime report for Otago Bay / Old Beach (Feb - March 2025)

A Whats App group for the Old Beach Community has been setup to assist with alerting our neighbours of suspicious activity within our area in real time.

If you would like access please send a DM via Messenger with proof of residency as only members of the Old Beach Community will be added.

With the news of break ins and people sussing vehicles out during the last couple of weeks, a few things we can do:
1. Report suspicious behaviour to 131444

2. Notify community members by posting on Old Beach Residents page or Old Beach Neighbourhood Watch page.

3. Keep a record of rego numbers of unfamiliar vehicles, or descriptions of unfamiliar persons including date/time.

4. Report via the CrimeStoppers website any suspicious activity.

5. Download the WeWatch App and alert those around you of suspicious activity in real time. Facebook doesn’t always notify you straight away.

The more vigilant we are the greater the message we send to those responsible for these cowardly acts within our community.

Please keep a watch out for two motorbikes riding around Old Beach. Last seen in Ravensbourne Place lifting covers on vehicles/bikes.
